The Job
Our client is one of the most important international retailing companies with over 300,000 employees operates over 2000 outlets in 30 countries in Europe, Africa and Asia. For selected countries in CEE region we are looking for an experienced Operations Director responsible for providing a direction to the company as a full member of the Country Board.
In this position you will have a responsibility for strategy, management and control of the company’s operational activities and will ensure that store image, efficiency and merchandise presentation supports the achievement of sales budget whilst controlling operating expenses.
Requirements
- excellent expertise in large scale retailing business incl. market- and customer-structure
- willing to relocate within European operations of client as the country destination is not set as yet
- excellent communication and negotiation skills
- a minimum of 8 years of operations experience within the retail/wholesale sector, with prior experience in managing an operations team
- entrepreneurial and customer focus, understanding of the large scale retail business and how trading works as well as understanding and applying to business specifics in other countries
- university degree, preferably in Economics, Business Management or related subjects
- fluent in English.
